This picture shows the way Targemaker targes are finished on the back.

The back is covered with deerskin, and is complete with a leather handle and armstrap.
Where the targe has a removeable spike, there is a sheath for this on the back.

All this is fairly typical of originals.

There is a "history" ticket attached to the handle.
